My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Officer Moore. I am so sorry for your loss. Police Officer David Moore will be remembered as a hero who gave his life trying to keep the people of our city safe. I want to thank him for his sacrafice and yours. I am sorry he was taken from you so early, so tragically and so senselessly. I would like to thank all officers for the job they do everyday. We take it for granted that they are doing a very dangerous job and the job they are trying to accomplish is to protect us. God Bless Officer Moore, his family and all officers.

My tears have flowed last few days for David & his parents. My husband is an IN officer that was involved in a shooting several years ago & by God's grace he lived & the criminal died. David is 10-42 from this earth & 10-41 in a better place. Thank you to his family for giving David back to us in the form of organ donation. My uncle received a kidney transplant last year & is a new man. To David's parents-just know that God has His loving arms wrapped around you to give you comfort until you both go on duty with David on those beautiful streets of gold!

I am so sorry for your loss. We that work law enforcement know how dangerous our job is. Know that your son served with honor and he will be truly missed by co-worker's, friends and I know mostly by his parents. My thoughts are with you.

I never had the oportunity to meet David but you don't have to personally know him to have a bond. We may have not met but we are brothers, sworn to protect and serve the community that we are employed.

May God be with the Moore family, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and all of the citizens of Indianapolis.

I remember a while back i had had car trouble.this young police officer stopped and asked if i needed any help.I looked at him and said No,I think i can get it going. He said,, Ok, smiled and looked back and said "your sure"? I said yes.. I asked him a question and his answer to it was." I wear this uniform proudly as my parents did and still do.I am here to help in any way i can.
I am so sorry that David has left us.I will remember his kind words and his smile always. I am now 62 yrs old and my short friendship with David is gone although it is still in my mind. He was a great cop.Aupstanding cop. He will be a great cop in haven. God Bless you always David for that one day and a few moments we talked. Your parents were proud of you as were your friends. May you always rest in peace my brother. In the eyes of God, we are all brothers. Good Bye David ,untill we meet in haven again. Wm.Bell
