To The Family of Officer Yaslowitz:
I wanted to offer my sympathies to the Yaslowitz Family. Officer Yaslowitzes dedication, bravery and courage will never be forgotten. On a day in Miami where 2 officers killed in the line of duty were remembered, Officer Yaslowitz and his partner Sgt. Baitinger will be remembered among their family, friends and colleagues. My dad was a New York City Poiceman for almost 40 years with the 102 precinct. Rest in peace Officer Yaslowitz and Olav Hashalom.

To the family: I am truly sorry for your loss. My father is a retired policeman and my 18 year-old son is planning to attend the police academy in few months. It scares me to death. The way these criminals do not value human life, especially a policeman is unbelieveable. I am praying for your family during this terrrible time. I grieve for you and with you. God Bless !

This is another tragic day for the Law Enforcement community. I just left Florida this morning after a short vacation and passed through St. Petersburg several times. I saw the news while waiting at the Tampa Airport; I couldn't believe it. The death toll in the U.S.already this year is overwhelming.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Yaslowitz and Baitlinger families.

To the St. Petersburg Police Department, you're in my thoughts on such a sad day.The loss of a brother or sister always hits home...

What a horrible tragedy. To have a mirror image of what happened in Miami a few days earlier occur again is almost incomprehensible. May both Officers rest in peace and God bless the men and women of the St. Petersburg P.D.
