Reflections for Police Officer Jillian Michelle Smith

I am so sorry for your loss. I admire all that you have done, I have wanted to be a police officer since I was 7 years old but just couldn't pass the pushup's part of the test. Please know that I am living my dream through all of you who made it.
Thank you for your service and thank you to all law enforcement who put their lives on the line for us each and every day.
My cousin was a police officer and he was viciously taken from us so I know the pain you feel. Take care and know that God is with you.

God Speed Officer Smith. I'm certain you left this earth way too soon. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family and the the Arlington Police Department. It is difficult at any time to lose a fellow officer, but certainly one just beginning their career. Thank God for all the hero officers out there willing to do this job and potentially pay the ultimate sacrifice.

Jillian, I am saddened by your death so close to Christmas. May your family and fellow officers gain strength from the loss of your life. In your short career as a police officer, you have shown everyone your true meaning and that you would never swerve from the path of Duty. I pray for your family. Officer Smith - Your young life has been cut, tragically, short. I am sometimes at a loss to understand His plan in all this, at times. Thank you for your service to the people of Arlington and the State of Texas. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you. And may those of us left behind come to an understanding, one day, of why bad things like this happen to one so young and so full of promise.

Officer Smith, your service and sacrifice to the people of Arlington will never be forgotten. I'm only sorry that the coward who did this to you will never face his day in court. May your family be comforted with the knowledge that he will face the judgement of a much higher power.

We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Officer Jillian Michelle Smith. We hope you take comfort in these words! Our prayers are with you!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say... But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there are no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years. Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too... That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, Then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain." And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile, Knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... From that body to be free, remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Prayers for the young officer are taking place by many even as I write this e-mail. as a former police officer I know how excited she was to have hopes, desires, and the feeling of accomplishment when she put on the uniform and badge the very first day of her career. She was able to do what she wanted to in life from a very young age. You can see how happy and proud she was in her picture. Today on 12/29,2010 she is no longer considered a rookie, but a brave officer who gave her life in the line of duty. Last night at approximately 8pm the Lord welcomed a Hero into Heaven----
Well Done My Faithful Servant!!
