I am deeply saddened to learn of Officer Smith's tragic passing. So young, so new to the job, a life and a career senselessly cut short. I have relatives that live in Arlington; I can only offer my thanks to you Officer Smith, and all of my brother and sister officers who keep Arlington safe. My deepest condolences to your family, friends, and co-workers. God bless all of you with His peace.

There are no words to help the Smith family during this very difficult time, but may you know that there are many prayers with you all. May God be with you and guide you. God has called another fine HERO home to help patrol the streets above. Officer Smith, thank you for your service, protection and dedication, I am sorry that your time on these mean streets on earth was so short, but now you can patrol from above.. You young lady will never be forgotten.
