It is so sad that this tragedy has happened. God Bless the LeCroy family and extended family. His death has made the public aware of problems in the judicial system. Another life, or many more, may be saved if changes are made because of this. He will never be forgotten.

We have a responsibility to protect those who protect us! I am forever grateful for your sacrifice, and please know that there are people here in Atlanta that really care about all of our law enforcement officers. I promise to always do what I can to help keep your memory, and all the memories of our fallen officers alive. I also promise to do something to bring community awareness to respecting and supporting our law enforcement officers. I pray that God will comfort your family, and please say hello to Captain Chad Reed. He was my close friend and he was killed on January 14, 2010 in the line of duty. Thank you Trooper LeCrory for your bravery and service to your community.

Citizen of Atlanta

I'm just so angry about this loss and I feel as if I can't do anything but be angry about it. My heart goes out to his kids. Be courageous kids. Your dad had courage and gave it all to protect our streets. He'd want you to be happy and remember all the good times you had with him I'm sure. Celebrate his life even though you may have to mourn him for a lifetime. My condolensces. :(

"It is, in a way, an odd thing to honor those who died in defense of our country ... in wars far away. (OR OUR LOCAL POLICE )The imagination plays a trick. We see these soldiers in our mind as old and wise. We see them as something like the Founding Fathers, grave and gray-haired. But most of them were boys when they died, and they gave up two lives -- the one they were living and the one they would have lived. When they died, they gave up their chance to be husbands and fathers and grandfathers. They gave up their chance to be revered old men. They gave up everything for their country, for us. All we can do is remember." - Ronald Wilson Reagan
