Reflections for Corporal Chadwick Thomas LeCroy

Keisha, my heart is breaking for you now as you deal with the huge loss of your husband, a true hero who sacrificed his life to establish peace in our community. Please know that you and your children are in the thoughts and prayers of so many of us, particularly those of us who knew you at Pebblebrook High School. I know Officer LeCroy is in a better place today, and I hope you will soon find strength and peace as you deal with such tragedy. May God watch over and bless your family!

Just a route stop, the dispatcher heard every day,
And she always wondered, is that what they meant to say.
A routine stop it should have been,
A head-light out, is how he called it in.

The next radio traffic was barely a sound,
Get me some help, I've been hit, I'm down!
The page went out, help on the way,
Oh, please God, can we take back this day!

To calls advise status, there was no sound,
As this brave officer lay on the ground!
More calls advise status, again and again,
Another officer calls in, he's taken our friend!

I awoke to the news that another of our Hero's is gone. Taken too soon by a thug who ran the streets of Atlanta along with thousand more that have made it a war zone, unsafe for even our bravest! Thank you Trooper Chad LeCroy, for keeping us safe and for your bravery! We will NEVER forget! God Bless and Godspeed.
