A great friend, father, son, husband, co-worker, and officer was taken. Although family, friends, and co-workers left behind mourn he is in a far better place. Prayers go out for the grieving. First line of duty death in Dougherty Co. history. Such a tragedy.

May you find peace and comfort in friends and family. This is by far the hardest thing we have ever had to face. We are told as time goes by the pain lessens. For us each day seems to get harder. Lean on each other and bless you and God keep you safe.

In my eleven years of carrying this badge and gun I have seen and been exposed to the ugliness that this world has to offer. Last night has to be one of the toughest of my career. When that damn radio came on and you here those god awful words none of us want to ever hear." Officer Down" It changes everything. We come to work knowing that we may not make it home and we accept that. But what do you do when it is one of ours and not on TV in some far away place.. Last night we lost a hell of a police officer and I lost what I call I called a friend. Which is hard to find dealing with the people we deal with everyday. Cliff buddy rest in peace and when I get back into that damn patrol car in you will be riding shotgun in spirit.
" Take your place on patrol in heaven sir , you have served your time in hell"!
Sincerely
