I was the Officer the killers of Austin Gay had been hired to kill. Why they made the error is not known, of course the feelings are hard realizing what could of been.

I've been with the Department for nearly 5 years now. I was told about this incident on my first few days working here. This is indeed sad. To all officers out there stay safe

our heroism and service is honored today, the 33rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today. The circumstances of your death are sickening and disgraceful.

Rest In Peace.

I spent three years with the Office of Agricultural Law enforcement, Prior to transfering back to the Sheriff's Office...I use to look at the plaque with your Name, and wonder what had happened to you...I finally found some old newspapaer articles, and was terribly saddened to imagine what you went through, the pain, and suffering you must have endured...I pray that God was with you, and that he comforted you on your journey Home...You sir are a Hero to me, and I am so honored to see you where you belong, here beside your brothers and sisters...~ To live in the Hearts of others, is not to Die~

It truly saddens me to think other law enforcement officers could ever be involved with the death of a fellow officer. Inspector Gay, I want to say thank you for your selfless service to the citizens of Florida. And I can only pray there is a special level in hell for the cowards who brought about your e.o.w. You are not forgotten and may you have everlasting peace.

You served with honor unlike the despicable garbage masquerading as police officers who sent the man who killed you. May you rest in peace, remembered in honored glory.

All officers should have a reflection. Thank you for your service, Inspector. I can't believe the way your life was taken from you. It's always sad to see a new officer added to the list, but at the same time, I'm glad that after all these years, we were able to honor you. Thank you again and rest peacefully!
