Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

Indeed time never diminshes respect and honor. 112 years later, I will be cycling in the Law Enforcement United tour from Chesapeake, Virginia to Washington D.C. in your memory David. I will be wearing a bracelet on my wrist with your name and EOW date. LEU rides in memory of our fallen officers and their families. Please know that with every peddle, I pay homage to the respect, honor and courage you, your family and everyone in this profession display on a daily basis.

David, it is an honor and a privilege to ride in your name. I will also remember Chief Silas Wilder who fought by your side at the time of your EOW and later succumbed to his injuries the next day.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 111th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
