Reflections for Police Officer Paul Michael Dittamo
I am lost for words -- three years at this time that we lost our little boy. You are missed and not forgotten -- you remain in our minds and thoughts and we see you in all that is said and done by Alex.

I was researching the Dittamo name and came across this notice of the death of Officer Paul Dittamo. My maiden name is Dittamo and I am related to Paul through our fathers. My father was Freddie Dittamo who was Hector's cousin (Paul's father) I lost touch with the family but would love to get in touch again. My husband was the Chief of Police of Wm Paterson U;he passed away Aug 2010. He was very active in the Police Unity Tour to raise money to honor fallen police officers. I'm sorry I did not know about Paul sooner and would like to express my condolences.
Sincerely Donna Dittamo/Horvath

Dittamo,
I miss you bro! You were there every step of the way. I remember our first day in the academy, the time we spent in 7D together, and that terrible night we worked that will haunt me forever. I'm glad I can say that my last memory of you was us laughing and joking. I loved that you were man enough to call someone out when they screwed up but humble enough to admit when you made a mistake. Losing you was like losing a brother, and man I miss you every day. I will never forget you, I will tell me kids and my grandkids about you, and not only of the sacrifice you made but the life you lived.
