To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 14th anniversary year of your death.

Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Never forgotten.

This fine man was one of our real finest "work horses" at the Bill Decker Detention Center. He gave of himself in a way that depicts the work ethic of the Greatest Generation in an exemplary fashion. He went beyond the call of duty on a regular basis, working overtime to provide not just for his family, but to insure things were covered for us.

I was there. It was tragic loss.

My sincerest wishes to the family, and hats off to the man we respectfully referred to as Mr. Pace.
