Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

"Mac" was once married to my sister-in-law. He was a great friend over the course of the years we knew each other while he was living in Germany.

I lost touch with him after he moved back to the states and just learned of his passing.

Our deepest condolences to Mac's family. Rest well brother. You will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the family, friends, and brothers and sisters in blue of Officer McDonough.
I can find no words to ease your pain, but please know that there are so many (too many) of us that feel and know your sorrow. The tragedy saddened me deeply since I was hoping that Andrew would be the last on the list.

May God give you the strength and bless you all during this difficult time.

On behalf of the McDonough Family I would like to say how amazing the El Paso Police Department and police from all agencies have been. The support that you have given to my brother's family and my parents has been overwhelming. The outshowing of support is very very touching. We have not wanted for anything in this past week since my brothers death. The funeral was like nothing I have ever experienced the sheer number of officers took my breath away ! It was truly an honor to get a glimpse of the comradery of the brotherhood of police agencies nationwide. We can not thank you enough !!! BE SAFE !!

Please accept my condolence in the loss of Patrolman Mcdonough. My brother was a police officer for many years and this situation is always your worst nightmare. In Abilene, Tx where I live, we have recently lost 2 police officers to drunk drivers and speeders. It not only affects the family, but the department and the citizens he lost his life protecting. Please give his family my sincerest best wishes and I will keep them in my prayers.
