For Policeman William Saunders:
Our duty as law officers is one of risk. Sometimes the risks are routine and encountered in using the equipment we need to accomplish protection and safety for others. We regret that our brother Bill would sustain injuries in the course of his duty that would take his life. But, fate has deemed that it would be so.
We pray for Bill's family and others and hope that his memory is alive as a once proud and noble soldier-of-the-law.
I am proud to render a rememberance salute today for Officer William Saunders, a hero from our past.
