So many memories... from the day we met and served while stationed in Italy with the 40th Security Police Flight to the day we served together at FE Warren Wyoming... from roommates, to the day we went to get your wedding cake and you married Laura..to the day your girls were born, from patrolling to sitting at CSC together. So many memories... overwhelmed that you were taken from us...I didn’t know until now. I say to you “yo hey” as we always said. May god bless you.

Thinking about you neighbor. I remember you always jogging by my house and one day you stopped and introduced yourself and you pointed at my patrol car in the driveway and you said "I am going to have one of those in my driveway one day". Well months later and without me knowing, I passed your house and indeed you did have a patrol car in your driveway. I stopped and said congratulations. It's been almost 19 years since we got that sad news. RIP my friend, your neighbor, Gary

I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I worked as a Port Officer with Deputy Longway the night he passed. He had stopped by a building I was securing to check on my welfare. This was the last time I saw Mark. Deputy Longway, You are thought of very highly and not forgotten.

Deputy Sheriff Longway,
I'm active duty Air Force names TSgt Phillips, MSgt (Retried) Logway and I worked together when I was an young Airman stationed at MacDill AFB. He was a great leader and I know is missed, I was extremely sadden to hear about his passing. I'm currently deployed and serving in Afghanistan for a year and he just popped into my head, sorry for the loss of a great man.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know the pain and pride are forever.
