I remember the day I hired you, I remember the day you asked me if it was okay to apply at SJPD, and I remember how honored you were to be selected to the SRT. It has been ten years, but it seems like yesterday. I remember receiving the phone call in the comm center ten years ago. You had a beautiful little girl who has become an even more beautiful young lady. I cannot attend the ceremony today, but you and all of us who loved you will be on my mind and in my heart. Miss ya brother.

I still can't believe Dan is gone. He was the type of person everyone should strive to be, personally and professionally. I was so proud of him and I am glad I took the time to tell him one time! One of his trainees sent me a quote Dan use to say and I think of it almost daily...."Stay Humble, Stay Focused, and Learn from your Mistakes!"
RIP Brother!!

Dan was the main reason I pursued a career in Law Enforcement. We served together on a prior MO State team and when he became a Police Officer he made it sound so great. My family and I owe everything we have today to Dan.
A true professional in every aspect and a great friend. I miss you every day old friend.
