Reflections for Special Deputy Sheriff Samuel William Pinnell
I never got to know my Grandfather Pinnell. He was my Fathers Father and he only remembered holding his leg as a three to four year old little boy.He did not remember his face.
Criminals have always had there way since I was born but this particular killer became a light bulb as he deserved.
I feel that society has gone down the wrong path of justice.
Jail should not be a business as it is today. Justice should be served and killers dealt with no matter what color race creed or religion they follow. When we as Americans wake up to this fact our world will be a better place to raise our families!

I wish my dad had known his Father. He didn't but, he used to say, he remembered holding onto his leg as a very young boy. I wish I knew him to.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Deputy Sheriff Pinnell,
It has taken over 80 years, but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Warren County. It took another year, but your murderer finally got the justice that he deserved.
