Reflections for Sergeant Anthony Michael Wallace
Anthony : I think of you often . I think of our correspondance when you were in high school and so determined to accomish your goal of acquiring the badge and attaining law enforcement as your chosen field . Of course , I could understand this determination and almost obcessive drive to overcome what the world so readily describes as a handicap. I would get numerous letters .. Most with the desire , but without the willingness to struggle , sacrifice and determination you displayed in your missives . Joining the Explorers , volunteering while continuing your education and improving your communication and compensation skills . You succeeded and you did it and I was enormously proud. You became the kind of officer many aspire to become , there in the job for the right reason, to a make a positive difference . Many didn't realize you had to give 300% to do what you did . I was devastated to discover your and your partner's senseless and horrific assassination.
I am nearing the end of my career, it has been both glorious and heartbreaking which can be said of all of us carrying the yoke of this responsibility . Your obstacles melted away with your sheer strength and will to do things not as good as , but better than anyone and with a smile .
Anthony , I would love to honor your mother for the role she had played in your 'can do' attitude and all your accomplishments . Your life started with her own challenges by providing you with a powerful non-handicapped direction.
I know you are with God so send me a little extra energy and extra motivation to carry out the work we've both have chosen against all odds and loved to do. You demonstrated excellence and have earned your place as a role model for other hearing impaired children worldwide . Thank you for your amazing service . RIP , Tony !!!

Hi buddy!
I told Matt in a reflection the other day that I can at least now think of happy times of you guys and not be so sad now, which is a step in the right direction I know.
I dunno why, but I just randomly thought of you two hanging my academy certificates and honorable discharge upside down on the wall of my office and my not noticing that for 2 days until a visitor pointed it out!! And I was supposed to be a professional observer hahaha! I know Jordan misses pranking people without you two.
I am still very hurt, sad and angry that you two were taken away but I know you two are having fun in Heaven pranking others, fishing and relaxing when you're not on Heaven's honorguard detail.
I bought an amazing little Rottweiller puppy and I know you would have loved to play with her like you did with my other dogs. They were down acting in the weeks after your loss. I think they knew what happened and they still miss you too. RIP buddy, not a day goes by that I don't think of you.
Your daughter is AMAZING!

Family men, law men, and Warriors. God be with you and your family always. This story has touched my heart at another level. To be taken from this earth in such a manner saddens me so. But to know we now have both of you watching over us makes me feel more safe.

To the family and friends of Sgt. Anthony Wallace and his fellow officers:
On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Tony was tragically killed.
To Tony's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. The murder of every fallen officer is horrific, but to have the officer gunned down in front of his loved ones is almost beyond comprehension.
You are all in my heart's embrace
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Tony gave to his community and the citizens of Alaska, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on August 28, 2010.
