Reflections for Police Officer Leonard Allen Reed
Being your aunt was such a blessing and privilege. I still have a hole in my heart and a frog in my throat because you left this earth. I’m jealous of heaven because you’re there.
I cherish every moment I spent with you. I can recall you as an infant, a youth, a teenager and a young Navy man, and then as a married adult and father.
I salute you for a life well lived!
I know that I will see you again some day. I’m rapture-ready and glad you were living life with the knowledge that Jesus will return.
Loving you still,
Aunt Shirley

I wish now more than ever I could talk to you! You kept me out of trouble and made sure I went to every football practice and Saturday morning practice I still remember when you came and woke me up one Saturday after a game and dragged me to the school. You were one of a kind now that I'm about 15 years older I really believe that people like you are taken early because yall do the amount of good that it takes others there entire lives to do about half of the same amount. I thought of you today because I wish I could just talk and hear some of your advice I never admitted it to you but you were always right and I don't know where I would of ended up without having met you Thanks for everything

I had the pleasure of meeting Officer Reed, 12 years ago, during my senior year at Vista Ridge High School. As I drove around Cedar Park today, I found myself reminiscing on Officer Reed’s beautiful smile, words of encouragement, and warm spirit. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be impacted by such an amazing person on my life’s journey. My continued love, thoughts and prayers for the Reed family. God bless

It’s almost the 1 year anniversary of your LODD and that will be a sad time for CPPD. I’m sad I never really got to meet you but I’ve heard many positive things about you. Cedar Park Police Department has grown tremendously in the past four years and it’s awesome. We miss you man.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I thank your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.

Many years have passed but you're never forgotten. I still remember when you use to come in from your shift goofing off and acting silly with your badge brother Camacho. You still put a smile on my face every time I think of you. Miss your smile and joyful presence. But I know that I'll see you again one day.
