Deputy Dewey, you took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Mahnomen County and this great country of ours.
In the performance of duty, you made the ultimate sacrifice.
There is no greater example of honor.
May your loved ones, friends, co-workers find peace. May the citizens realize the sacrifice made by the law enforcement officers every second of every day.
Your memory lives on through you friends, relatives and our brothers and sisters of the M.C.S.O.
Rest in peace Deputy Dewey, we have got it from here....

We came alongside Chris and Emily during their year + in CO at Craig Hospital. They are nothing short of family. We are in pray for Em, their family, and the Mahnomen Co. SO. Chris was a warrior -- and the strength they showed was heroic in ways consistent with our warrior ethos. Because (and only because) Chris knew Christ as Savior, he is TODAY with the Lord.
