As our agency goes through another loss, how LPD misses you and reflect upon your memory today also. LPD will have a void without you. We can't take care of Tiwanda and the kids as you did but we hold a special place for them as LPD family. Hope the job we do makes you smile.

Hey buddy, well yesterday made it two years since you were called home. I can't believe it's already been 2 years, I think about you and what happened frequently... We miss you brother, but I understand that you were taken for a reason. Just know that you are in our hearts and minds and it keeps me at peace knowing you are up above keeping watch....servo vita

I cannot believe that it has been two years. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t remember what a true warrior you are! I remember seeing it when you were in the academy; I remember seeing it at work, and when we were on the SRRG together. You are an inspiration every day to new officers learning to become the warrior that you are. I remind my new department about the sacrifice that you made, and the good times that we shared together.

Craig, not a day goes by that I dont reflect on the great man, husband, father, friend, brother, son, co-worker, and warrior you were. It seems like yester day that you were making laugh about your boots not being shined. Man you made such a great impact on so many people. You are truly missed and I know that you are constantly smiling and looking protecting those who you loved.

Your memorial service was the first I had ever attended, and I will never forget it. By the way your many many friends and coworkers spoke of you, you were a blessing to know and a blessing to law enforcement. Thank you for your sacrifice and thank you for your service.

I remember back in 2006 when I tired out for the dept during the PT test i stopped running becasue I ahd a cramp. Officer Shaw ran upon the side of me and pushed me to my limits. Because of his motivation I passed the PT test and had a chance to thank him. I wished I had the chance to work along side of him and learn from him also on how to be a good police officer. RIP my bro I'll con't to post every year online in your memory. To the family wife son and daughter stay strong and know that GOD is with you all. To the moms and dad just know you both did a wonderful job in raising that young man. He was good friend and person. To the Lancaster Police Dept my prayers are forever with the dept I pray that you all can over come this and other problems that you all have in ur dept.

To My Dearest Craig,
It has been almost a year since you left us, but I still see you walking down those stairs putting on your duty belt, sitting at the kitchen table reading the paper while eating breakfast, and just being your playful self. I miss you soooo much and my pain is indescribable. Most people do not understand what it is like to lose your best friend, your companion, the father of your children, your protector, your confidant, your advisor, and your rock. Although I often wish I would have died along with you on that dreadful day, I know that I must stay a while longer to raise our children and you would not have it any other way. I will always cherish those 20 years of my life. This life will remain lonely and empty without you, but I trust in God's promise that I will see you again one day. Our children and that promise is all I have left. Until then, please continue to watch over the children and I and ask God to please give me strength. I love you now and forever.

I was given the wonderful opportunity to be one of Craig's training officers when he first started. Craig was an excellent recruit officer and later became a model police officer and SWAT operator. We shared many hours in a police car and I would not trade that time for anything. I decided that I am not sad for my fellow officers or me. WE had the chance to know, share, laugh and love with Craig. I am sad for those who never had this chance. We miss you more and more each day but thoughts of your huge smile and gentle nature are our constant companions and help to make us smile through our tears. We love and miss you dearly.

Those whom give us their best and we rely on most in the worst of situations too many times are paying the ultimate sacrifice. Please everyone who sees this, raise your children to show respect and responsability to all humans on all days. Also, can we please learn from this horrible loss and view our law enforcement officers in a caring light - one never knows when we are going to need to call upon them to do their very best for one of us. God Bless Officer Shaw, his wife and children.
