Dean,

I am still stunned and not sure what to write - I keep hoping somebody will pinch me and I will wake up from this awful nightmare.

Thank you for your service and for being a good friend. I am blessed in that I at least had the chance to chat with you for a while Friday night, several hours before this tragedy.

Know that I am here for anything your family needs, just as with the rest of us in the Sheriff's Office. It won't be the same coming out in the evenings on selective or serving warrants without my buddy around.

God Speed and God Bless,

Jeff
