Reflections for Trooper First Class Wesley Washington John Brown
Another tragic loss for the police family and the citizens of Maryland. Even though I did not know him, I know many like him, and I know what kind of man he was to choose to protect and serve even at all costs.
May his fiancee, family, and fellow MSP find some comfort knowing that the entire police family mourns this loss with them, and that the memory of Trooper Wesley Brown will never be forgotten.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Trooper, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The Trooper squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the Trooper waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Trooper. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Brother your unselfish sacrafice, your courage, and your committment to this job makes you a Hero. R.I.P Look over the rest of your brothers and sisters of the thin blue line. Im fighting a battle on the inside trying not to be angry. We are the same age. It could have been me. If tears could bring return you safely to your family, I, along with so many others would cry a million of them. But I know for a fact this is not true. Im praying for your family and your fiance. We will find the coward who took your life. So long, Farewell and Godspeed Bro.
