My God,
Every time this happens I die a little inside. I try to remain positive and firmly believe there are more good people in the world then bad.

Although I am no longer with the MSP, I will forever consider myself part of the family. I had the privilege of witnessing the selfless acts of the men and women behind the uniform. It truly saddens me that Trooper Brown has left us all too soon as a result of keeping his oath and trying to keep our citizens safe. I pray that his family and other loved ones find comfort in the outpour of love you have and will continue to receive. The MSP takes care of its own...Trooper Brown will not be forgotten and neither will his family.

To my friend and MSP academy roomate... Godspeed you home my brother. You were taken to soon. I will always remember your good heart and the smile you woke with every morning in the academy even though you knew we were about to get our butts kicked. I know you are now with God and you are keeping heaven safe. I will always count it an extreme honor to have called you my classmate and my friend.

I wish you songs to speed you through the evening
And I wish you rest at the close of the day

And I wish you good dreams, good 'morrow
And I wish you goodnight.

Trooper Brown, rest in peace as your brothers search and arrest your suspect. You were doing a off duty job and this guy cowardly shot you probably from behind. God speed brother as you patrol the streets of gold. My sincere condolences to your fiancee and to your department who lost a good man. Terry F. Zech

For Trooper Wesley Brown:

As law officers we remain alert, but few who are attacked suddenly and without warning can anticipate when this might occur. To do so would require all the tension of a steel trap set to spring at the slightest pressure. Humans are not set as a mechanical device. Law officers, by nature, respond to others with concern and fairness - much
to our downfall - but it is our lot.

We rely on our brother and sisters who wear the badge to bring Wes' killer no rest or respite as he is pursued relentlessly, run into the ground, and then shackeled and bound for just disposition.

We pray for our brother Wes' family, friends, co-workers, and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another when the need arises.

I am proud to render Trooper Wesley Brown a final salute.
