For Police Officer Joshua Yazzie:

The law officer on patrol has the responsibility of arriving to every call for assistance promptly and without delay. Sometimes the need requires us to travel outside of the normal limits and with great urgency. It is unfortunate, devastating, and tragic when things go wrong and the responding officer encounters a crash. Who among us that patrols has not had a close call? Most of us have survived because it is only our fate that has determined it to be so. No amount of training, skill or experience truly guarantees us yet another mile on patrol.

We pray for Josh's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another as the need arises.

I am proud to render Officer Joshua Yazzie a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennylvania State Police
