It is always a sad day when someone passes; however when a Trooper dies in the line of duty it makes the loss seem so much greater because he gave his life unselfishly trying to help, protect and serve for the good of others. Rest in peace Trooper Castellano. Deepest condolences, many peaceful thoughts and prayers to his family, loved ones, fellow troopers and friends. God Bless!

To the Wife of Trooper Marc Castellano,
I know that there are no words I can say that will take away any of the hurt and pain you are feeling right now; however, I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Your Husband will never be forgotten. Being a wife of a NJ State Trooper myself, I can only imagine what you are going through right now. This is something I fear each time my Husband walks out the door to go into work. Please know that you and your family will ALWAYS be apart of the NJSP family and we will be here for you in any way we can. I also have two small children and cannot help but feel how close to home this hits. Though I have never met you or your Husband, I have always heard great things about him and I know that his memory will live on forever. My prayers will continue to be with you, your daughter, and your son.

For Trooper Marc Castellano:
The patrol officer is always in the action. Whether it is the call for assistance, a person in trouble or a pursuit on the highway, the officer on patrol is ready to respond.
No amount of preparation can fully prepare any of us for the next assignment. Each is as unique as our own individual being. We proceed with the benefit of training, knowledge and experience, yet each situation unfolds not as we might wish or expect, but rather as it is fated to be so.
We pray for Marc's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another as the need arises.
As a brother trooper, I am proud to render Trooper Marc Castellano a final salute.
