I would like to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and brothers and sisters in the NJSP. Take the time you need to grieve, but take comfort in knowing that Trooper Castellano left this earth a hero, fulfilling his duty to the NJSP and to the men and women of this state. As a former West Orange, NJ police officer and a graduate of July 1999 Trooper Youth Week, I have worked with NJSP on many occasions. I still feel a close connection to the agency, and my heartfelt prayers and condolances go out to the family, friends and co-workers of Trooper Castellano. May you rest in peace.
