Mrs. Murphy,

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~Kahlil Gibran

Pass that delight on to those little ones. When you feel weak; share his memory. I can't imagine the pain you feel and wish that we could help take it away. God bless.

Wife of former Phx officer

May God give the families, friends, and survivors the strength needed to endure this evil and loss. None of you will ever be quite the same. May his example of service inspire others to take his place on the front lines.

May you rest in peace Officer Murphy. You were a man of courage, bravery, and a true hero to all of us. Keeping your community safe while we slept comfortably in our beds, taking little...if any time to grab a bite to eat while working your long shift, being away from your own family to keep our families safe, working holidays and weekends so we could enjoy ours in peace. These are just a few of the things that you did for all of us. I know that you did not wear your uniform for the respect, glory or money. You wanted to protect and serve the people that you cared about most and you gave the ultimate sacrifice for that. We will be forever grateful for all that you have done for us. You will not be forgotten............

To the family/friends and co-workers of Officer Travis Murphy-I am deeply saddened by this. A very brave young Officer doing his job has been lost in the battle against violence and evil. His absence will be painful. His reputation and memory will be forever sweet.

My heart breaks for the pain and sorrow Officer Murphy's family is going through. For such a precious life to be cut so short is just not fair. Leaving behind a wife, and 2 children who will know there daddy only through the memories of others seems even more unfair. Through all the tears and pain hopefully you can remember all the wonderful times you all have shared and those tears will become smiles. Please know that although our paths may never cross your family is thought of and prayed for everyday. May God be with all of you and guide you through this sorrowful time.

My condolences to the family for the sacrifice that their Father and Husband made.

My gratitude to Officer Murphy and his family, and my sincere appreciate and realization to all who protect and serve.

Your lives are ones of honor that few are willing to do. This sacrifice isn't one that is required by all, but all are all willing.

Thank you again for the sacrifice that both the officer and the families make.

Officer Murphy, you took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Phoenix and this great country of ours.

In the performance of duty, you made the ultimate sacrifice.

There is no greater example of honor. May your loved ones, friends, co-workers find peace. May the citizens realize the sacrifice made by the law enforcement officers every second of every day.

Your memory lives on through you friends, relatives and our brothers and sisters of the P.P.D.
Rest in peace Officer Murphy, we have got it from here....
