My condolences to Officer Murphy's family, friends, and the entire Pheonix Police Dept. Such a tragedy, people seem to have no regard to human life especially men and women in law enforcement...I hope this murderer gets exactly what he deserves, torture for taking this man from his wife and small children...
God bless his family!!

Dear Rank and File of the Phoenix PD, I didn't know officer Murphy, however, as a former federal law enforcement officer and county corrections officer, it is always horrible when one of our brave and dedicated police officers lose their life in an effort to make our communities safer.
Officer Murphy's death was not only a loss of a police officer but 2 children lost their father and a wife lost her husband, ultimately the community lost a valuable asset.
Ofc. Murphy, you can rest in peace knowing that you made a significant impact on the community through your dedication.

I am saddened to hear of this fine officer's death. If I am not mistaken, this is #67 this year alone. A coward took his life and is still alive only to sit in a jail cell for years until he is put to sleep. Officer Travis Murphy you served your agency and citizens well sir, R.I.P and you may now watch over your family from heaven where heroes go to rest.
