I had the great honor of meeting Tom here in NYC(5/17) when he came on his own time after having been down in DC to come and visit the NYPD and Manhattan South Homicide Squad where I gave him a brief tour. Immediately, I recognized that I met a great man with a gentle unassuming soul. Tom had such a incredible presence and spoke how he worked in the toughest division in Chicago and loved what he did.
