Reflections for Sergeant Robert Brandon Paudert
Lord Jesus, as we watch America’s Peace Officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, Shot and Killed in the Line-of-Duty, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the peace officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.
Holy Scriptures on Law Enforcement’s Mission:
“For the policeman [peace officer] does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman [peace officer] is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he [the peace officer] will have you punished. He [the peace officer] is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should.” [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]
[Jesus Said,] “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]
And he [Jesus] said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” [Luke 23:43 ESV]
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]

Sgt. Paudert: Thanks for your service to your city, state and to this great nation. I've had the pleasure of meeting your father on three separate occasions (he's provided training for peace officers in Nevada from time to time). He is about as fine a gentleman as there is--he honors you and your partner by educating others about the dangers of the types of extremists who took your life. Anyway, thanks for your sacrifice--you and Officer Evans honor our profession--you guys didn't have much of a chance but you will always be remembered by your brothers and sisters.

What's up brother. It's really hard to believe it's been almost 5 years. I miss you and Bill like crazy. We had so many good times on and off duty. We were such a tight knit group that loved doing what we did best.....knocking out loads on the big highway. There is not a day I don't think of you guys. I miss you guys so much and you both were taken way too soon. Keep looking down on us Brandon and know we are always thinking of you and Bill. I love ya brother.

Just left a reflection for Officer Evans, but I would like to leave you one too Sarge. I have read many articles and saw a few videos of the incident, because I do a great amount of research on the fallen brothers and sisters of the Thin Blue Line. Your story struck me hard as I read what had happened. Tragic, yes, but danger is very much included in this line of work. Take a break Sarge, and continue to wear that badge among the angels. RIP Sarge. Godspeed.

Hey, I was just thinking about you two today. Life is just not the same anymore without you guys. I remember laying in the bed, going "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" cause you would blow Jeremy's phone up all hours of the night cause you could not sleep :) what I would do to hear those rings again. You and Bill keep your eyes on Jeremy when he is out there working. We love and miss both of you so much. Lots of love lifted up to you two !

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for solace for all that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to yuo through their reflections.
Rest In Peace.

Hey brother. I wanted to stop in and say HI. I miss you and Bill so much. There is not a day goes by I don't think about you guys. It's been nearly 2 years since we lost 2 of the best officers WMPD has ever pinned a badge on. We had some great times and I am always sharing those memories with people. I watched a DVD the other night with our big money seizure and laughed and then cried throughout it all. I know each time I make a stop you and Bill are watching from above keeping me safe. You guys be good and keep Bill in line also. I love u brother.
