Ambroise it seems like just yesterday that we entered into the Academy. When you came to the academy you had one goal like the rest of us and that was to graduate. Each and every day that you were in the academy you demonstrated the qualities of a professional law enforcement officer. If you had a question or needed help you were never too shy to ask for it. I remember the times as a group that you were never too shy to give you input, then after class when we had nothing to do but sit around the table and talk, you always talked about how grateful you were to have a wife and how excited you were to have a daughter on the way. The day came when it was time to graduate you set along your path to Miami ready and proud to wear our uniform. Time has flown. Then I receive a call last night that you have lost your life. I told the person who had called that they lost their mind, that there was no way. I took a moment to myself and I thought about it, all of the times in the academy that we goofed around and had just a great time, all of the help that you were to everyone, and those times that we talked about how proud you were of everything that you had, a good wife, a daughter on the way, and everything else. I want you to know that you are not forgotten, will not be forgotten and Thank You for everything that you did serving the Citizen’s of the State of Florida. Your family is in my prayers.

To the Family of Trooper Ambrose:
I was saddened to hear of your death. My sympathies to your family and your two young daughters you left behind. My dad was one of NYC finest for almost forty years. Your courage. bravery and commitment to duty will never be forgotten. I was reminded of Trooper Robert Smith's death which occurred the same way and a portion of the 395 bridge named in his memory and in the near future to honor your memory. Rest in peace Trooper Ambroise and know your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
