I never had the privilege of meeting Ofc Huff, but I know him well from his character. Brian was a fellow police officer, a man who chose to wear a badge & a uniform, and to go in harms way for others. Brian was doing just that the night he died..."going in harms way" for someone else. A citizen had called to report gunshots coming from inside a known drug house. What kind of person would intentionally go into a dark house at 330am, knowing someone could be inside with a gun? A police officer would because thats their job...."to go into harms way for someone else" Brian did just that and paid the ultimate price.
They say a person is never truly gone as long as they are remembered. Brian will always be remembered by his family, his friends, his coworkers, and his extended family here at DHPD.
GOD Bless & GOD Speed

Big Huff, you will be missed but never forgotten. It rained today during your funeral and as they brought you out of the church the rain stopped briefly and for a few minutes the sun came out shinning brightly just long enough to for us to see you off...I know that was you with that BIG smile telling us all it will be alright... and then the rain came back.... Many blessings to your family.
