Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar drawing nigh -- Falls the night.

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Then good night, peaceful night,
Till the light of the dawn shineth bright;
God is near, do not fear.

Police Officers are heros because of what they do everyday, not because they gave their life in the line-of-duty. Rest in Peace Officer Huff. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Your services to God's children in your community will always be remembered with honor and love, the same honor and love you bestowed upon them. You are now among all our brothers and sisters who have also served with this honor and love to the world and who also paid the ultimate in this ervice. Know that those brothers and sisters left behind will care for your family and will promote the heroism you gave to your community. Rest in peace. In Christ.

Brian Huff was a big, muscular fun loving guy who loved his job, his family and his friends. He was a great person, helpful to everyone and encouring to most. He will be greatly missed. The Detroit police department are under alot of stress and In my book, they are one of the best in the nation. I am an ER nurse and have many interactions with DPD and I am very proud of them. I hope everyone will keep Brian Huff, his wife and son, and all of the Detroit Police officers in their thoughts and prayers.

My heart grieves when i hear of a fallen officer. My dad was a Wayne County Sheriff for 30+ years, and each night, I thanked God that he was brought home safe. I just wanted to say to all the officers out there that nobody realizes what you do day to day to protect your citizens. I am so sorry this man had to lose his life to someone that shouldn't have even been out on the streets. My prayers go to the family of Brian Huff. I am so so sorry.
