Rest In Peace cousin Lynn. I have been to your grave several times to pay my respects to you.
I also served in law enforcement as a former Polk County Deputy Sheriff and a Chariton Iowa Police officer. Your son and I became very close relation.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I can only hope that final justice was served in the Court of the Lord since it was not in Des Moines. Rest easy brother. You are not forgotten as it should be for a hero. Thank you for your years of service and know that your 'family' is still fighting for justice. God bless.
