Deputy Deutch - To return from an active-duty tour in Afghanistan only to die on the streets of Nye County. What a tragedy. Next month, during Peace Officers Memorial Week, I will wear my mourning band upon my badge, pause, and give thought to you and the rest.

Thanks for your service to our nation, and for your service to the people of Nye County and the state of Nevada. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
