Reflections for Sergeant Michael Allen Towner
Sergeant Tower, it has been 14 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices that you and too many others have made for us. Thank you for your service.

I was trained by Mike Towner in the end of 1977. I was 21 yrs old, I believe he was 26. I was a handful to him. At times he would yell at me, at others we would laugh. I was a tough rookie to work with. He was a great man! I’ll never forget him.

Mike was a great guy and a great cop. I got to know him when he did details at the restaurant where I worked in college. He was friendly and always did the right thing. Such a loss. Thank you Mike for all you did to make Worcester a better place.

Now six years have passed and the biggest question is, what has the person responsible for your death done to make amends?
I will leave the question an open ended question.
God Bless and forever may you rest in peace, Brother

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for solace fo all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today.
Rest In Peace.

The anniversary of this officer's EOW falls during the Easter Season in 2012. I hope whether the family and friends and all who stand between us and what is the worst in humanity, will be uplifted by the message of this weekend. No greater love than to lay down one's life for another. Proud of my city's fine police department and all who are there when they are needed.

Michael was one of the best men to have ever worn a badge.
Mike, I introduced my young grandson to you the other day, and while he did try to say your name several times, he seemed to enjoy the nearby brook more.
Rest easy, my friend.

Sgt. Towner, your passing a year ago is sad. Had the moron you were placing under lawful arrest had simply complied, he would have gotten out on bail within a couple of hours and you would have gone home to your family and evenually retired. What a sad disgusting waste. I hope that individual has a conscience and I hope he learns from what happened. Unfortunately, probably not.
Though your position will be filled if it hasn't already, you can never be replaced.
God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.
