Reflections for Sergeant Hector Ismael Ayala
On this day 18 yrs ago you asked me to be your wife and I said yes. If we had to go back in time I would say yes again. Every single time…Only thing I’d do different would be that I’d hold you longer and kiss you longer. I am honored even to this day that you chose me. I look into the eyes of our children and I’m reminded of you everyday. You’d be so proud. Please continue to guide and watch over us, our angel in heaven. Miss you every day.

Hard to believe it has been 11 years. You were the first one to greet me on my first day at the Wheaton station. Your personality made everyone like you and felt like they were instantly a friend. There were many police habits that I learned from you that shaped how I policed early on. I think about you and your family often. I hope and pray that both you up in heaven, and them here on earth are doing OK. I miss you man.

Sgt Ayala even though I never really knew you, I met you so many times in passing! I would see you in district court and numerous times sat next to each other and chatted briefly. When i heard the news of your passing I was saddened, and heart broken! I speak to so many county officers and they had great things to say about you! Today was the law enforcement 5k and so many of you friends, family, and co-workers were there supporting you it was awesome! You are never forgotten brother! My family and I pray for you and your family every night.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.
Rest In Peace

It's been a long time since I've been here, but you and your family are often in my thoughts and prayers. Can't believe we are nearing 2 years without you.
I hope you are getting a lot of joy watching over your kids. You don't have to worry - even though they will not know you, your kids will know about you and the hero you were.
Continue watching over your brothers and sisters. RIP my brother.
