RIP Sir and thank you for your service. I have worked with the USFS LEOs here in AK and back in NC for many years and I admire and respect them as professional colleagues. My condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of this good Officer.

I am saddened to hear of this tragic accident as one of our heroes has gone to be with God.

What an incredible person, father, husband, and member of an elite force of dedicated Officers. Officer Upton leaves behind his Forest Service family shocked about these events. I lift up his family and peers as an attempt to move beyond this tragdy. His grace is amazing.
