On 02-12-2010 Dave came into the squad room around 0530 in his usual way saying to our new guy " morning sunshine" and sat down in his seat at the end of the squad room table. Davey took a drink of coffee out of his smokey mountain coffee mug and told all of us "morning".This day started just like all the ones before not knowing, it would be his last shift meeting with us. After we found out that the accident had taken our friend, brother and co-worker,our shift stayed over and talked about what had happened. Our sheriff, captains and our Lt told us all to be strong and have faith. After our meeting, in a show of great respect our shift went out into the snow and lowered the flags as a family to honor our friend.rest in piece Davey Crawford #937
