Reflections for Corporal Jeremy Caleb McLaren

You were laid to rest yesterday. I know you were there. I know that you felt the honor that your brothers and sisters put into that service. Stay with them now and give them strength. Continue to watch over them as they work to protect and serve us. Continue to show your family that you are still with them. God Bless you Jeremy, you are greatly missed by many.

"In The Line of Duty"

What is the meaning of "In The Line Of Duty"
It means that an officer made the Ultimate sacrifice.
It means that someone took an officer's life.
A hero has fallen.

Officers who gave their all
To protect and serve
Have been killed by someone whom they swore
To protect and serve.

It means that their badge will no longer be on their chest
And they will join
"The Best Of The Best"

It means that family and friends are left behind
To deal with the lost of a loved one.
Only having the memories of that loved one
Close to their hearts.
Something no one can ever take away.

It means that family members will stand at the officers grave
And wonder why ...
Why would someone take an officer's life
And leave them there to die?
If we only knew.

Today an officer will place their badge on their chest
To fulfill the dreams of heroes killed
"In The Line Of Duty"

My Dearest Family and Friends

Somethings I'd like to say but first of all to let you know that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from Heaven where I dwell with Our Lord above. where there's no more tears or sadness just eternal Love. Please don't be unhappy because I'm out of sight, remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and Night.

The Day I had to leave you when my Life on earth was through God picked me up and hugged me and He said I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again, You were missed while you were gone. As for your Dearest Family they'll be here later on.
I need you here so badly as part of my big plan. Theres so much we have to do to help our Moral Man.
Then God gave me a list of things that He wished for me to do, and foremost on that list of mine is to watch and care for you.
I'll be beside you everyday and through out the years, And when your sad. I'm standing there to wipe away your tears.
When You lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight God and I are close you in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on Earth and all the loving years, because your only human they are bound to bring you tears.

Please don't be afraid to cry, it does releive the pain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned, But if I were to tell you You wouldn't understand. One thing is for certain, though my life on Earth is over I'm closer to you now than I ever was before.

To My many Friends, Trust God knows what is best.I'm still not far away from you I'm just beyond the crest.

So, If you can help somebody who is in sorrow or in pain, then you can say to God at night my day was not in vain.
And now I am contented that with my life. it was worth while,Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
If you meet somebody who is down and feeling low just lend a hand and pick him up as on your way you go.
When Your walking down the street and you've got me on your mind just know Im walking in your footstep only a half a step behind.
And if you feel a gentel breeze or wind upon your face thats me just giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace.
I will always love you from the land way up above We'll be in touch again soon
PS God sends his Love.

As a daughter of a retired police officer in Maryland I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the family. We were traveling into Nashville to visit family when we saw the funeral procession take place. It was very touching to see how much the citizens love the fine men and woman who serve to protect them.

For Corporal Jeremy McLaren:

The officer on patrol has many perils looming, but none greater than our duty on a United States highway - a true battlefield. The statistics of the day can include us as law officers, despite our amount of training and caution. We regret that our brother Jeremy might be included in the count on this day.

We pray for his family, friends, co-workers, and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another when the time is appropriate. And, may they each recall the light that Jeremy brought into their life.

I am proud to render Corporal Jeremy McClaren a final salute.

Corporal McLaren was on call a few months ago when our car had been broken into. When he arrived at our home he was very courteous and even personable! I appreciated his demeanor and assistance during that time.

I pray God grant his wife and family grace and strength in this time. I also hope the family knows that we appreciate his sacrifice for the sake of our lives and community! We are all indebted to Corporal McLaren and will remember his service!

John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this that he lay down his life for his friends"
My son is a police officer in Murfreesboro and I know the sacrifices an officer makes in providing protection to a community. My heart aches for this young man's family. I pray they will find solace and peace in knowing he is in a far better place than we can imagine. I will think of him often on my various trips into Spring Hill. I pray for the safety of all police officers everywhere and appreciate the professional and unselfish service they provide.
