As a Member of Vanderbilt University Police Department, I had the distinct pleasure of being one of Jeremy’s training officers when he was first starting out in his police career. Jeremy was an astute student with a great love for helping others. It was a sincere pleasure to have crossed paths in life with such a fine young officer. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeremy’s family as well as all those who serve at Spring Hill Police. I pray for God's peace, comfort and strength in this time of brevement.

God Bless this family, this hero's department and all men and women in Blue. These things happen too often by careless individuals who take life so needlessly. Life is so precious and this hero's life was cut way too short. Stay strong.

Pleasant Police Department I would like to extend our heart felt sampathy to the family of Corporal Jeremy McLaren and to his fellow officers of the Spring Hill Police Department. We often wonder why bad things happen to good people and to tell you the truth there is no answer why or reason things happen the way they do, all we can do as family and friends of Corporal Jeremy McLaren is to cherish the memeroies we shared with him and as fellow law enforcement officers we must always honor Corporal McLaren in our actions and to always proudly display the badge that Corporal Jermey McLaren so proudly and honorably displayed during his tour of duty. To Corporal McLaren's family & friends. Over the last year Jeremy would slip in on occasion to play basketball at 6:00 A.M. on Tuesday or Thursday mornings at the Brentwood YMCA. He played with men who some were old enough to be his father (me). I visited with him personally on several occasions as we would wait for the next game. He was proud to be a police officer and was a pure delight to be around. I am so saddened to here of your loss and the guys will miss his smiling face and wonderful attitude. I write to let you know the positive impact on my life in such a short time. May the God of all comfort be with you in this time. Paul Bane
