Sadly it is only in death that we come to know the void that now exists in our law enforcement family. We must continue to staff the thin blue line in Trooper Baldridge's memory and vow to honor his dedication to public service by protecting each other and the citizens of the communities we serve. God speed brother warrior...

Trooper Baldridge, All the deaths of law enforcement officers are terrible but it always feels even worse when its a young person with their whole life ahead of them. We lost you and all the good you would have done in the world. My thoughts are with you and your family.

For Trooper Andrew C. Baldridge:

Of any risks we might face as a trooper-on-patrol, a United States highway is the the most dangerous of all. This battlefield claims more peoples lives, and injures far more, than all the other risks combined. As new troopers we all felt the urgency of rapid response to the call for assistance. Despite our use of emergency lights and siren with having specialized-training, we still face a hazard at every milepost. We can only wonder why it would be Andy... and not one us...that our Creator would call-upon this day for duty elsewhere. We who have traveled this path, and survived, can attribute it to nothing more than the grace of God. Surely this is as certain as it is true.

We pray now for Andy's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out with full support and earnest care at the most appropriate times.

I am proud to render Trooper Andrew C. Baldridge a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
