Reflections for Sheriff Willie C. Bond
While at the Sheriff's office on unrelated business, I happened upon the display in the lobby. Sheriff Bond was my great grandmother's brother, my great uncle. What an unexpected surprise. A very nice tribute to a fallen officer.

I just picked up two antique tintype photos of this fallen hero. They and his story how he was killed by a bootlegger in the course of his job will be forever passed down in my family. I thank Sherriff Bond for his historical, heroic service to our country.

I find this touching that there are comments on this fallen hero. This was my Great-Grandfather, and I am proud to say that he died a hero in the line of duty.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 90th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Evil was, is, and will be a part of life just as goodness such as yours will also be present.
Rest In Peace
