Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. You will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace

Sept. 21, 2010, isthe first time since Sept. 09, 2004, that I have attempted to find old friends and co- workers via the internet. And to my worst ever imagined finding, I find you celly ( what only close friends called you). You were a true friend and like family you helped everybody, and ex-specially me with your walmart detail that you allowed me to work as often as I needed, to accomplish a lot of things I wanted and needed for myself and by kids. Celly you were unselfish, down to earth, over generous, respectful, polite, and a friend to everyone you met. Oh and you were also very humerous. I can still remember you and your lil old man walk carrying those long flash lights. Oh and I rememeber a lot of good conversation and good times when you and I were relieving one another from a walmart shift. Celly I am so glad to have met you and so thankful that god put you in my life because you took care of me and made sure my oldest son , who was about two years old had everything in life a child and mother could ever have. Celly I know you are in heaven,I love you like the family you always said we were. Love always your sis.precious and pernell.

I was saddened to learn that you died in the line of duty, after all your selfless acts during the first few days of Katrina. I can only imagine the chaos associated with those first few days. When you came on during Dateline's recent airing of Katrina footage through Brian Williams' eyes, I remembered you from the footage when it all was still happening. And then I cried when at the end of the show it said you were killed this year. All I can say is God must've really needed you because you were a true angel here on earth in 2005. Goodbye hero.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Celestain. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Alfred, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Alfred's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Alfred's life was about so much more than the way he died. Alfred will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Celestain, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been seven years and a half years but he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

Al Celestain was my cousin. I was so proud of him for who he was as well as for his being a member of NOPD. His funeral today was beautiful and the NOPD did a fantastic job for their fallen brother. I was so glad to see Al last year since I had not seen him since my own brothers funeral 12 years ago. Cousin, rest in peace, you will always be remembered.
