To the family and co-workers, please take comfort in the fact that while you may not see Cpl Szuba with your eyes any longer - you will always see him with your hearts and that he and Ricky will forever be watching over you all.
Thank you for sharing James and Ricky with us.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

How terrible! Two lives lost because the idiot chose to fight instead of doing what was right....not being behind the wheel in the first place! It is my sincere hope that the murderer never sees the light of day again.
My thoughts and prayers are with Corporal Szuba & Ricky's family and friends.
Rest in peace!

"Is daddy coming home soon?" asks a precious little face.
"It's past when he should be here. Is he working on a case?"
Your dad's not coming home son. He's working late tonight.
He's a policeman up in heaven, making sure we're all alright.
"But mommy, why'd he leave us? I miss him when he's gone."
I know you miss him darling, but now we must be strong.
"Who's gonna teach me baseball, and help me fly my kite?"
And help me with my homework, and buy my first bike?"
Your daddy loved you darling, and he didn't want to leave.
But a bad man took, your daddy, and left us all to grieve.
Be proud of who your daddy was, and how he earned his pay.
Because it's people like your daddy that keeps us safe each day.
"Mommy, when I get bigger, and if it's ok with you,
I'm gonna be like daddy, and be a policeman too."
"I'll Wait -
A police K9 explained to St. Peter
I'd rather stay here,
Outside the Pearly Gate.
I can’t come in yet, you see,
as my handler and partner is not yet with me.
I’ll be very quiet as I sit and wait,
I'll watch over him and pray that he's late.
Because those who love him dearly,
Still need his protection.
And the ones who don’t know him,
But still need his help.
I'll be very patient and wait,
I'll never let out a whimper or yelp.
I’ll be chewing my celestial bone,
Waiting for my partner to come home.
It would not be right if I went in alone,
For without my partner you see;
It just wouldn't be Heaven to me,
Without crossing the gates
Right by his side.
