For Officer Chris Morano:
The duties of a law officer on patrol are varied and many. The engagement in any high speed chase brings with it high risk for everyone involved and everyone present. Depite the great amount caution, sometimes things can go wrong. And, in a fraction of a second. Such is our lot.
We regret that Chris lost his life. We all know and understand that at any time we can be the next to make the supreme sacrifice that he has made. He did it in service to others - this alone deems him a hero.
We pray for Chris, his family, his friends and all who care about him. We pray for their will to go on. For each of them to remember Chris for all the reasons they loved him as a relative, admired him as a friend, respected him as a co-worker, and to recall why they were glad to know him. In all of this, he will live on.
To Officer Chris Marano I am proud to render a final salute.

Hey brother,
I'm glad we became friends while attending the police academy. We went from car pool partners to graduating together. Sorry that the Echo was so small and that we got alot of grief for showing up in it.
I had the honor of working with you for several years. I enjoyed letting our kids play together and meeting Shelly. I want you to know I will always be here for your family!
Rest in peace brother!

We here in the Pacific NW have suffered greatly for the loss of the five murdered officers. I know the emptiness the family will suffer and feel sorrow for the other officer involved and hope that forgiveness is quickly given. He too will suffer great pain. My prayers and thoughts come your way
