It has been over a year since this senseless tragedy. It still shakes me to the core when I see this on the Officer Down page. I drove down Johnston Rd today while on patrol and I got a weird tingle in my spine...I felt you Mike. Thanks for watching over all of us now....

Thanks brother

After reading all of the entries that your girl friend Shannon has left for you brings home the greater loss. You seem to have been a great officer and even a better young man and when events such as this come into our lives it is your loved ones that seem to hurt the most. I have been lucky to make it thru many years of working the streets in several law enforcement positions.

It never ceases to amaze me when I read stories such as yours. Shannon is a very lucky young lady to have had you in her life for the short time she did. I just want you to please watch out for my son who is with the Los Angeles Police Department in their academy at this time. My Daughter is with Customs and Border Protection Federal Officer. Please keep a very close eye on both of my children for my wife and I. I could not be as strong as Shannon if I were to lose either of my children.

God Bless you and thank you so very much for your service.

Man's Inhumanity To Man - An english assignment during a short attendance at CCAC in 1979 prior to police academy based on two burglary detectives report of an elderly man having returned home to not only find his home burglarized; but his cat hung on a clothesline - gutted.

In recent years, watching at arm's length, witness to one act after another... I found peace finally remembering our area's finest, who spilt blood on our behalf, unsuspecting & unselfishly, so that we may live to see another sunrise/sunset - another moon and sky filled with stars.
