I am so very sorry for the loss of this fine officer. Police officers are the thin blue line that separates us from anarchy. We owe them all an immense debt.

After hearing this story, my heart just hurts. I do not know you, nor do I know where Lakewood is, but I cried after hearing what had happened. You went out a hero. Thank you for your dedication and for being so brave! We need more heroes like you. May you watch over all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time. You will not be forgotten! RIP brother!

Just wanted to say all four officers will be missed by all LEO's , the community, and their family! I recently went through SWAT school and met Mark. Mark was one of the lead instructors from WSTOA, where he is on the Board. He was great guy and I personally learned allot from him. Mark and other WSTOA Instructor Jeff were coming down this week for our SWAT training to help out. He was willing to do anything for any of us! Mark was a Team Leader for his team. This has been a terrible year for LEO's. First the traffic collision killing Deputy Gallagher, then the un-provoke killing of Brenton, and then the terrible murder of our FOUR Fallen. GOD SPEED TO ALL !

Hugs and heartfelt travel across the ocean from Europe
My heart is crying as I am sending prayers to the family and friends.
I live in Lakewood and have worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for three years as a geriatric mental health therapist. Right now I am traveling through Europe and the horrible news has reached the TV news stations in Romania.
Sgt. Mark Renninger and his colleagues have helped in one of my client's emergency needs and am so greatful to have met him.
I will not forget them!
Good Bless!
