Officer Leach, you were a wonderful man and an ideal coworker. It has been nearly four years since I worked with you last at the jail, but who could forget someone like you. You will be missed by all who knew you and those who didn't. We will pray for your family and let them know that they will be a part of our metro family forever.

Danny was someone who I really looked up to as I came up on the Department. He was always just a great guy, genuine smile, positive, happy. He was a great officer, family man, and just a great person. Danny was a class act and a role model for how someone should live their life and behave professionally.
Some may think this is a typical tribute one makes when we lose a brother or sister, but it definitely is not. Danny was all of the above and so much more that simply cannot be put into words. Anyone who knew him will be quick to agree, and I am sure they will echo my thoughts in their tributes to him.
It is very hard looking at the faces of the men and women who die in the line of duty on this site, it is 10 times harder when it is someone you have known for many years who is now gone.
Rest In Peace, Brother, I will miss you but I look forward to seeing you again.
