Trevor's dad and I worked the road together in the WSP many years ago and his mom was a great dispatcher and clerk. I remember Trevor tagging along with his mom when we would visit in Quincy. A Cute kid, full of energy and always a great smile, loved to play ball. Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it has been years since we have visited, life does that, but you are in my prayers now. Call or google me if you need to talk. Dick, I just can't imagine losing my kids or grandkids. I am stunned by this. Way too close to home for me. If I can help please call. For Trevors wife and kids, take solace in the fact you had a wonderful guy, hold tight to people who love. You are in my prayers.

It is times like these when we are all reminded of just how much Police Officers all over the country put on line everyday. There are few jobs where a person puts his or her life on the line everyday to protect complete strangers. Police Officers are the sheepdogs protecting THEIR sheep from the wolves. I would like to extend my thanks to Officer Trevor Nettleton for his service to his people. I would also like to extend my deepest sympathy to Officer Nettleton's family, you are ALL in my prayers and the prayers of every officer at the Dodge City Police Department. God bless you all.
